Who are the frontrunners for the MVP award after Week 3?

This is the fourth installment of FanSided‘s 17-part series of MVP award analysis.

Each week, the top five players in contention to take home the NFL’s most esteemed individual award are examined.

The series is a running tabulation of statistics, player performance, and of course, impact on team success. In that respect, this analysis should be considered a linear or non-episodic process. For example, had a running back like the Packers’ Aaron Jones notched over 200 rushing yards and a few touchdowns this week, he would be deserving of a seat at the table. He’s currently on the fringe of MVP contention along with players like Ryan Tannehill and Ben Roethlisberger.

Going forward to remain on the MVP Stock Watch, players must continue their high-octane success on a weekly basis. If a player plays woefully in a given week, he will probably be jettisoned for awhile until his performance merits re-seeding.

The participants in this week’s Stock Watch remains the same as 80 percent of the men won their respective games during Week 3. Not one man struggled and is, therefore, more than worthy of a spot in this week’s edition.

After Week 3, here are the top five MVP award contenders for 2020.

**Please note: This series will consider sportsbooks odds but will largely weigh individual statistics and impact on the team by the particular player.
