NFL DFS Bargain Bin: Week 4 Sunday Slates Wide Receivers
Will Fuller, HOU vs. MIN ($5,900-DK/$6,100-FD)
As alluded to earlier in Cousins’ entry, the Vikings secondary has had some serious issues in the early going. Minnesota has already yielded a 45-633-5 line to receivers over the first three games, along with a 74.0 percent catch rate and the fourth-most FD points per game (39.4) to the position. Fuller is dealing with a bit of a hamstring issue as of Thursday, but he’s expected to play in what is projected to be a high-scoring matchup and is already claiming a hefty 23.0 percent of the Texans air yards and an aDOT of 11.8 yards over the first three games.
DeVante Parker, MIA vs. SEA ($5,700-DK/$6,500-FD)
Parker is likely to be on the lower-rostered end of the spectrum in tournaments, but the Seahawks are far from a prohibitive matchup through the air at the moment. Seattle is dealing with multiple injuries in the secondary, not the least of which is one to Jamal Adams (groin). Starting cornerbacks Quinton Dunbar (knee) and Shaquill Griffin (shoulder) are also among the walking wounded at the moment. Meanwhile, Parker, who already has a 25.7 percent share of the team’s air yards and 17.7 percent of Miami’s targets through the first three games, is facing a Seattle defense that’s already allowed a 76-1,136-5 line and the most FD points per game (60.5) by far to the receiver position with better health than what it currently enjoys.
Sammy Watkins, KC vs. NE ($4,400-DK/$5,600-FD)
Watkins is very attractively priced for a player in the Chiefs air attack, despite the perceived tough matchup against the Patriots secondary. The veteran has seen a combined 17 targets in his first two non-injury-shortened games of the season, and he has a solid 75.0 percent catch rate overall in the early going. Watkins is working a bit closer to the line of scrimmage at the moment, but he still has the speed to get downfield and naturally benefits from catching his passes from Patrick Mahomes. There’s also the matter of New England being a lot more vulnerable to receivers than a year ago — the Pats have given up a 39-550-5 line to receivers in the first three contests while giving up the seventh-most FD points per game (34.8) to wideouts.
