The Giants are an absolute disaster on offense in 2020.

The New York Giants look like the worst team in football through the first four weeks of the 2020 season. Sunday saw the Giants lose by the final score of 17-9 against a Los Angeles Rams team that had a bad day and still won.

Daniel Jones failed to reach 200 yards for the second straight week and it is clear the offense is far too weak without Saquon Barkley. But this is still an NFL team and one player going down shouldn’t mean the team can’t even move the ball. One play against the Rams highlighted a key reason why Jones and his unit are struggling so much.

Giants just not on the same page

What is going on there? It appears all the receivers thought a run was coming. Thus no one ran a route and Jones took a huge sack.

This is the second straight game in which the Giants only scored nine points. The team’s total of 47 is by far the worst mark in the league. Even the 0-4 New York Jets have scored 65 points this season.

There is not much the defense can do to help if the offense can’t even score 10 points. Jared Goff was held to 200 passing yards and the Rams offense only managed 58 rushing yards. The Giants actually bested that total with 136 total rushing yards. However, getting the ball into the end zone proved to be too difficult.

Losing Barkley for the year is obviously a huge blow to the offense. What it has also done is expose the fact the Giants don’t have enough talent at any position on offense to overcome the absence. Jones is only in his second season, but the early returns in 2020 are not great.

Next. The NFC East standings are drunk. dark

The Giants are a mess and Joe Judge will need to rally his team to stay focused after another dismal day for the offense. Making sure the entire offense knows the play-call will be a good baby step toward competing again.
