Fists started flying after the New York Giants and Los Angeles Rams’ Sunday afternoon contest.

The Los Angeles Rams entered Week 4 with an extremely favorable matchup against the New York Giants. The tilt between the two was close, ending with the Rams squeaking out a 17-9 victory. Even though the game might not have been the most exciting, there was certainly a ton of electricity after the final whistle.

As the Rams and Giants met at midfield for the traditional handshakes, cornerback Jalen Ramsey and wide receiver Golden Tate proceeded to throw hands at each other, forcing both teams to separate them!

Tate and Ramsey have history

The Giants wideout and Rams cornerback have a bit of history with each other, and it’s not good. Ramsey used to be in a long-term relationship with Tate’s sister, Breanna, but the former Jacksonville Jaguar dumped her last year while she was pregnant and began to date a Las Vegas dancer. That, of course, angered Tate, the uncle to Breanna and Ramsey’s two children, who tweeted out last year that the defensive back was going to “have to see” him at some point.

According to Greg Beachem of the Associated Press, Ramsey was talking on his cellphone while pacing across the field nearly 30 minutes after the game.

Well, the two definitely saw each other, as Ramsey was assigned to Tate for the majority of the game. Tate was limited to four receptions for 20 yards on six targets from quarterback Daniel Jones. At one point, Ramsey unleashed a vicious tackle on the veteran NFL wideout.

Ramsey and Tate didn’t engage in fisticuffs during the game, which you could attribute to both teams being neck-and-neck and not wanting to pick up a costly penalty. But once the game was over, the two decided that was the time to drop the proverbial gloves. The bad blood was bound to spill over at some point, considering the nasty implications of their feud.
