Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. QB. Atlanta Falcons. 44. Matt Ryan. 2. player

Ryan looked like the lone bright spot on a Falcons team that was coming apart at the seams in the early part of the season, as he was putting up excellent stats as the Falcons blew fourth-quarter leads. Unfortunately, Ryan’s play has fallen off a cliff in recent weeks, as his game against the Carolina Panthers was his worst of the season. While he is playing without Julio Jones, that is no excuse for his awful fourth-quarter interception while the Falcons were driving in an attempt to tie the game. Against such a young defense, Ryan can’t make that mistake.

Ryan is likely a Hall of Famer that has made some plays this season amid dreadful support on offense, defense, and the sideline. However, Atlanta might be in line for a top-five pick in the upcoming draft, which could give them an excuse to end the Ryan era. Ryan might be under contract for the next few seasons, but he needs to play better if he wants to be back in Atlanta in 2021.
