The Atlanta Braves finally got on the board after getting pummeled by the Los Angeles Dodgers early in Game 3 of the NLCS.
On Wednesday morning, the Atlanta Braves woke up in a great mood. They held a 2-0 lead over the heavily-favored Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS, and looked to extend it to three later on in the evening. That didn’t happen, as the Dodgers dropped a historic 11-runs in the first-inning. Unfortunately for Atlanta, that lead extended to 15-0 three innings later.
After getting punched in the mouth repeatedly by the team from Hollywood, the Braves finally got on the board, as prospect outfielder Cristian Pache hit a solo home run to left field off pitcher Julio Urias, cutting their deficit to 15-1. That was the first homer of Pache’s MLB career.

At least the Braves didn’t get shut out
Pache made his first-career postseason start on Tuesday after Adam Duvall went down with an oblique injury in Game 1 of the NLCS. And just like that, the rookie made history. He’s the youngest player to ever start in center field in a League Championship Series or World Series since Braves legend Andruw Jones accomplished the feat back in 1998.
The records continued to pour in for Pache, as he joined Jones, Brian McCann and Ronald Acuña Jr. as the only Braves players in history to hit a home run before they turned 22-years-old.
Congrats, Braves! You’re not getting shut out today! Hey, a 14-run deficit is much better than a 15-run hole. Just saying.
