College football DFS wide receiver picks October 17:

Top Tier:

With Pitts and Marshall off the slate, it really opens things up at WR. Elijah Moore is the most talented receiver on the slate, but that Arkansas defense makes me a little nervous. Running Marlon Williams at  the Memphis corners makes a little more sense to me. Oklahoma transfer Jaylon Robinson is a strong pick too if you are looking for a little cheaper option.

No one has been able to keep Sean Dykes out of the end zone so far. I really doubt UCF is the team that can. Shi Smith will likely see higher volume against Auburn though, especially if South Carolina falls behind.

Temple transfer Kenny Yeboah has terrorized the SEC so far. He’s a matchup issue for anyone. If Arkansas does manage to control Elijah Moore, they wont be able to lock down Yeboah. Arkansas is in for quite a test here. I really like the upside of Yeboah.

Middle Tier:

It may be Dykes catching touchdowns, but Damonte Coxie is still the Memphis receiver I want. Even though he didn’t score, Coxie still was targeted 14 times. Coxie is still going to see most of the targets from Brady White.

You can have Seth Williams. I’ll still take Anthony Schwartz, but considering they are both almost the same price, we actually have to think about it a little more.

Pitt is going to have to throw against Miami. I do like the receivers they have here. Jordan Addison is the volume guy, which might be more valuable against Miami. Taysir Mack is the guy that can change the game though. I doubt either has a big game, but at these prices, they don’t need to.

Bargain Shoppers:

Kentucky is creating ways to get Josh Ali the ball even if they can’t throw it to him. That makes him really value at a low price here. This is going to be another fight for Kentucky, but Ali is the guy that might bust that big play.

Lavel Davis is 6’7”. If he doesn’t catch a touchdown, it’s an upset of sort. The thing that has me less exciting about Davis here is that Virginia wont need to throw jump balls to beat Wake. They may not even try it here. There are better options on the cheap.

How about Kwame Lassiter? He still leads Kansas in receptions and targets and it’s not even close. Lassiter has good potential for a guy under $5,000. Jalen Wydermyer is still a favorite target of Mond. He can help soften up that Mississippi State defense. With Caleb Chapman out, Wydermyer is going to have an even larger role.
