5 teams that could use Jeremy Lin next season

The Suns might’ve missed out on the playoffs once again, but they are trending in the right direction. After going undefeated in the NBA bubble, Monty Williams’ young core of Devin Booker and DeAndre Ayton might get the Suns near the postseason with just a few minor tweaks. Adding Lin as a key reserve could be a major boost for a Phoenix team that is still a bit thin a point guard.

While the Suns have let Booker run the point plenty last year, they have three other point guards on their roster. Ricky Rubio and Elie Okobo are both distributors who pass first and shoot second, while Jevon Carter is much more valuable on the defensive end than on offense. Lin might not be the offensive threat he was with the Knicks or in Houston, but he can certainly provide more on offense than a 39 percent career shooter in Rubio and a career 31 percent three-point shooter in Okobo.
