2. Aaron Rodgers interception shouldn’t have counted

The Packers were blown out on Sunday in Tampa Bay coming off a bye week. It was a bad look for Matt LaFleur’s group, which looked woefully unprepared and now falls back into a tie with the Chicago Bears in the NFC North division.

Much of the lopsided scoreline came on a 14-point swing. Just after Aaron Rodgers let the Packers down the field for a score, he threw two straight interceptions — the first of which was a pick-6. On the second interception, it would appear the Tampa Bay Buccaneers outside linebacker Shaquil Barrett fell for Rodgers’ snap count, but wasn’t called offsides on the play. The result was Rodgers throwing his second interception of the game. The Bucs would score on that possession, and never look back.

Offsides penalties are tough to catch live, and the specifics of what counts as a five-yard punishment aren’t so black-and-white. However, with Barrett’s entire body over the line of scrimmage, it’s safe to say the officiating crew missed this one.
