10. A.J. Green goes ring chasing with the Patriots

Green continues to publicly insist that he believes the Bengals are “building something special.” That means he doesn’t want to be dealt ahead of this year’s trade deadline. It does not, however, rule out the idea that he’ll leave the team in free agency.

The old adage that “actions speak louder than words” certainly applies here. Green’s effort level on the field in 2020 just hasn’t looked like a player who is giving his all for the team. On the contrary, Green looks like a wide receiver who is already starting to think about his impending free agency.

Rumors connecting him with the Patriots are nothing new, but they may make more sense than ever before. Julian Edelman isn’t a No. 1 wideout any longer in New England. They could really benefit from the addition of a quality veteran like Green to strengthen their wide receiver room.

As such, look for Green to go ring chasing with Bill Belichick. This signing does hinge on New England finding a quality quarterback to throw the ball to Green in 2021, but the Patriots have a knack of making that happen.
