Running Back: Ezekiel Elliott $9,500

Sometimes it’s best to just go with the most expensive option. Ezekiel Elliott has an insane matchup, as the Dallas Cowboys take on the Washington Football Team. Washington has been awful after a Week 1 win against the Philadelphia Eagles. This is the bad Washington team that everyone was expecting to be bad.

Their rush defense ranks in the bottom five across the league. Washington is especially bad against star running backs. Nick Chubb went off for 100+ yards and two touchdowns a few weeks ago. That’s really the only star Washington faced this season. Their other opponents are basically committees (Baltimore, Los Angeles Rams, New York Giants). Now, they are finally facing another star.

Elliott is basically good for between 15 and 25 points every single week. He only has one week where he didn’t score a touchdown. He made up for it with eight catches and 71 yards receiving against the Browns. There is a reason why Elliott gets the price tag he has this week. It’s partially because of the matchup, but it’s mostly because of consistency. He’s going to get you points every single week.

Elliott and the Cowboys are trying a new offense with Andy Dalton under center. The Cowboys will likely try and lean on their star running back to make things work. This offense is still insane. Washington can’t put eight in the box with Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb on the outside. Elliott will get the room, and he will likely get the opportunity to dominate.
