Mike McCarthy hasn’t done much to win over fans in Dallas and his latest take is sure to infuriate many more this weekend.

To say Mike McCarthy’s start as head coach for the Dallas Cowboys has been a nightmare would be a complete and total understatement. Entering Sunday’s Week 7 tilt with the Washington Football Team, Dallas is 2-4 on the season, needing a miracle to beat the Falcons as part of their victories.

While fans are hitting the panic button, McCarthy isn’t ready to do so just yet. However, the latest report out of Washington on the veteran coach’s mindset moving forward has to be concerning for everyone who loves the Cowboys.

Mike McCarthy’s version of analytics is downright comical

From the video above, McCarthy believes winning four division games improves your chances of winning the NFC East. Wow, thanks for that, Mike. Truly some genius thinking with that idea there. All Cowboys fans can do right now is laugh at this statement.

Moving forward, though, who knows if this Dallas team will even get to four division wins. With Dak Prescott out for the year after suffering his fractured ankle, the morale on offense is low. Things looked terrible for Dallas in their Week 6 loss to the Cardinals, where they were dominated from start to finish in the 38-10 defeat.

In that loss, Andy Dalton couldn’t develop any kind of chemistry with his receivers, while Ezekiel Elliott turned the ball over twice, leading to 14 Arizona points.

In what was supposed to be a year where Dallas was ready to try and get back to the Super Bowl, it’s looking like they’ll be lucky to make the playoffs. Midway through his first year, McCarthy is having nothing but headaches with the Cowboys.

Next. Cowboys should trade for Jameis Winston and see what happens. dark
