College football DFS quarterback picks October 29:

Top Tier:

Chance Lovertich took a lot less snaps for South Alabama last week. That should remain for as long as Desmond Trotter keeps playing well. He is a force under center, and even though he is the highest priced quarterback on the slate, he’s well worth the small markup.

Middle Tier:

Especially when you consider that Washington transfer Jake Haener threw three picks in his debut for Fresno last weekend. There’s talent on this team and Haener will get better, but he’s nowhere near Trotter. Still, if using two quarterbacks, Haener is a solid option considering how bad the Colorado State secondary was last year.

Bargain Shoppers:

Nebraska transfer Patrick O’Brien still sits atop the Colorado State depth chart. He was solid but unspectacular last year. The offensive line did him no favors, but the fact that Georgia Southern quarterbacks Shai Werts is $900 less is absurd. Werts is easily my second-favorite quarterback option on this slate.

In fact, I could argue for Werts at number one just because of the $1,700 price difference between he and Trotter. Werts doesn’t throw much, but he’s a terror when he runs, which is a lot.
