Who’s to say Green Bay has to settle with one pass-catcher at the deadline. While Fuller’s speed allows him to win as a vertical threat, sometimes it’s what you can do after the catch that helps as well. If that’s the case, Ross could play the middle man role.

Ross made it clear he wants out of the Jungle after failing to cement his No.3 status in a contract season. Since his arrival as a top 10 pick, the Washington product only has been effective in minimal doses, averaging a career 14.4 yards per catch. Prior to entering 2020, Ross was effective in the red zone as a short-yardage target.

With how the Bengals have handled Ross’ final year in Cincinnati, they’ll be lucky to grab anything higher than a fifth-round pick at the deadline. A cheaper option with still very little wear and tear on his body this season, the 25-year-old could work wonders both with his speed and agility in the open field.

Maybe Ross will never be the next DeSean Jackson, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be effective in Matt LaFleur’s system.
