New England Patriots. 21. team. 47. . 2-5. Previous:

Bill Belichick’s club had prevailed in their last seven meetings with the rival Bills and had actually won eight straight games at Buffalo dating back to 2012.

The Patriots rolled up 188 yards on the ground and Cam Newton threw for 174 yards and ran for 54 yards and one score. But late in the fourth quarter and with the team trailing by three points, the veteran quarterback put the ball on the ground with the team in range of a go-ahead or tying score.

Cincinnati Bengals. 20. team. 56. . 2-5-1. Previous:

The depleted Bengals hosted the Tennessee Titans looking for just their second victory of this season. Rookie quarterback Joe Burrow was sharp, hitting on 26-of-37 passes for 249 yards and a pair of touchdowns and Zac Taylor’s team played turnover-free football.

The Cincinnati defense was once again gashed on the ground, allowing 218 yards rushing. But the Bengals were also 10-of-15 on third down and controlled the football for 35:57.

Philadelphia Eagles. 19. team. 54. . 3-4-1. Previous:

The current NFC East leaders looked to make it two wins in a row for the first time all season. Once again, mistake-prone quarterback Carson Wentz had his issues when it came to taking care of the football. He lost a pair of fumbles and served up his 11th and 12th interceptions of the year.

But Philadelphia’s defense had more than enough for a Cowboys’ offense led by rookie quarterback Ben DiNucci, dropped four times by the Birds’ pass rush.
