College football DFS running back picks November 5:

Top Tier:

Colorado State was owned on the ground. Now they get to host the Mountain West’s best back in Xazavian Valladay. Here is lock number two.

Middle Tier:

Jaylen Warren has been the only bright spot for the Utah State offense so far. Luckily for him, this is by far the worst defense the Aggies have faced in three games. The bad news is that it’s the best offense that they have faced too. If they can keep up with Nevada, Warren will have a big game. If not, he’ll need a touchdown to pay off the salary.

Nevada appears content to run with both Toa Taua and Devonte Lee getting carries. Lee is more of a threat in the passing game. Taua may get more carries as he gets back up to speed, but for now, both are viable options.

Bargain Shoppers:

Colorado State is a strong threat to get buried again so Marcus McElroy is a major risk. He’s going to need a touchdown to make it worth his while. Wyoming shut down a good Hawaii offense, so the outlook is rather bleak for McElroy here.

Wyoming loves to run and they can’t just run Valladay 40 times a game. You’ll see Trey Smith get a healthy number of carries in this one as well, especially when the Cowboys get up big.
