Coach of the Year Runners Up:

3. player. 124. . Coach. Kansas City Chiefs. Andy Reid

This is a given. Andy Reid is one of the best coaches in the NFL. He is usually a top 3 finisher for this award. He gets the job done week in and week out. It helps having Patrick Mahomes on your team. Regardless, he has created an unstoppable scheme in Kansas City and they keep on chugging along. He’s one of the reasons that the Chiefs are Super Bowl favorites.

2. player. 32. . Coach. Arizona Cardinals. Kliff Kingsbury

Look, the Cardinals are 5-2. Not many people expected that. Kyler Murray has taken a big step forward this year but that is in part due to Kliff Kingsbury. This offense looks much better than it did a year ago. They are able to move the ball consistently and not settle for field goals as much. It does help when you add DeAndre Hopkins to an offense, but Kliff has improved his play-calling. Just as important, their defense has improved. This isn’t all Kingsbury’s doing, but he certainly has played a role. Kingsbury could play his way into the #1 spot for Coach of the Year depending on how the rest of this season goes. Hopefully they can keep momentum going.
