USF Bulls. 1. player. 816. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. AAC.

The hiring of Charlie Strong was supposed to make the Bulls one of the best Group of Five teams in the country, but that move came back to bite them immediately. Left to pick up the pieces is former Clemson OC Jeff Scott, who clearly needs a quarterback with more arm talent than Jordan McCloud to run the offense that helped Trevor Lawrence become so successful over the last few years. The Belle Glade native could stay in his home state and help the Bulls finally show the rest of the AAC they are not to be trifled with.

The quarterback run game is a major part of what the Bulls want to do on offense, and Blackman has the wheeks to ensure that will not be a problem with him under center. While he is still a little rough around the edges as a passer, who better to coach him out of those bad habits than Scott, who was instrumental in the development of Lawrence?

USF looks perfect for Blackman, as he will stay in his home state, start against quality defenses, and get enough good coaching around him to fix his flaws as a passer.
