After spending the past 20 years in the northeast, Tom Brady learned about hurricanes the hard way

Tom Brady has spent the better part of 20 NFL seasons with the New England Patriots, where he got a good taste of brutal cold and heavy snow. The same can be said about his four years playing for the Michigan Wolverines for four years. But when it comes to living in the southeast, Brady was never used to tropical storms. Well, he got a taste of it this week.

The state of Florida got hammered on Wednesday with flooding and high winds. During a media call on Thursday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers starting quarterback revealed that his two jet skis were taken away by Topical Storm Eta, and were found 300 yards on someone else’s dock.

Brady’s week to forget

We’d venture to say that this was a week to forget for the six-time Super Bowl champion. Not only did he have to track down his luxurious water crafts, but he’s trying to bounce back from a brutal performance on Sunday Night Football.

Brady entered Week 9 looking for revenge against the New Orleans Saints, who took advantage of the Buccaneers’ lack of chemistry in the regular-season opener. However, Tampa Bay caught on fire after that contest, with many media pundits predicting that they would easily defeat the Saints. That wasn’t the case, as the Saints trounced the Buccaneers by the score of 38-3. Brady ended up completing 57.9-percent of his passes for 209 yards, while throwing three interceptions.

Now, the Buccaneers will look to regain their NFC South lead, as they face a Carolina Panthers team that took the Kansas City Chiefs to the limit. However, the Panthers will be without star running back Christian McCaffrey, who is dealing with an ailing shoulder.

Not only did Brady learn a major lesson on the field against the Saints, but he learned that he needs to use some extra knots and possibly an anchor to secure his jet skis during a hurricane or tropical storm.
