College football DFS wide receiver picks November 18:

Top Tier:

I’m a big fan of Justin Hall, but D’Wayne Eskridge might be the best play on the entire slate. The CMU defense hasn’t had to deal with a passing attack like this, and more specifically, a receiver like Eskridge. Huntley and Koback are more sure things, but Eskridge could break this slate.

Tyrice Richie is the only good piece of a bad offense. That really lowers the ceiling, but a good floor for this price is hard to ignore.

Middle Tier:

DraftKings is finally wising up and raising the price on Yo’Heinz Tyler. The Ball State receivers are good on this slate. Just because you don’t play the QB doesn’t mean that you should ignore the receivers.

I like the upside of Skyy Moore for the price. Eskridge is the main guy, but in the event that CMU is able to shut off Eskridge, Moore could be in for a nice game. He has breakaway speed and a high ceiling.

For whatever reason, Eli Peters looks for Devin Maddox in the red zone. That makes him the Toledo receiver with the most upside. This team is a lot like Buffalo in that they have two good running backs and aren’t afraid to use them. Passing is only done when necessary.

Bargain Shoppers:

We need to watch the status of Hassan Beydoun. Tanner Knue got 11 targets last week with Beydoun out. He’s the best value play on the slate if Beydoun is out again. Bryson Cannon is worth a look if Beydoun is out again as well. Knue may be in play for the price regardless of Beydoun’s status.

Antwan Davis actually leads Ball State in receptions and he’s the cheapest receiver on DraftKings. He doesn’t have the upside of Tyler or Hall, but at this price he should be locked in. The targets will be there.

The stats on Jaylen Hall look too good to be true, right? In a sense they are. Hall only has three receptions in two games, but two of those have gone for touchdowns. Buyer beware.

Bryce Mitchell is the solid Toledo receiver, but he’s boring. He has no upside. Isaiah Winstead had a nice game against Western Michigan and is a great sleeper target if the game stays close and Toledo needs to pass. If not, his floor is around three points.
