4. NFL Week 11 best bets: Los Angeles Rams +3.5

The NFC is stacked in terms of playoff contenders and one team that made a big move over the weekend was the Los Angeles Rams. Sean McVay’s team picked up a huge win over Seattle to climb into a three-way tie for first place in the NFC West, but they still have a long way to go to reach the postseason for the third time in four years.

One of the keys to success for the Rams has been their pass rush, which harassed Russell Wilson into six sacks yesterday. Los Angeles’ front four has been particularly effective, making it easier to get pressure without blitzing, which should come in handy on Monday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

FanDuel has set the Buccaneers as 3.5-point favorites after their convincing bounce-back win over the Carolina Panthers, but the Rams’ pressure scheme plays directly into one of Tom Brady’s key weaknesses. Teams have been successful against Brady if they can generate their pass rush with just the front four, forcing him to sit in the pocket and wait for receivers to get open instead of switching to blitz-beaters that go for big plays.

The key to this pick is the hook, which means that the Rams can lose by a field goal and still cover the number. Grab the hook here and take the points with Los Angeles, which is also perfectly capable of winning this game outright.
