10 RB sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 11
By Dustin Baker
3. J.D. McKissic (WAS)
Game: Cincinnati Bengals at Washington Football Team (Sunday, 11/22, 1:00 pm EST)
The beauty of McKissic’s game is that he catches the football out of the backfield. That is a tremendous asset for any quarterback, but his utility is upped when Alex Smith is the person on the field. Smith notoriously keeps the passing game in short-to-mid-range, so McKissic’s ball-catching acumen is advantageous.
Antonio Gibson is getting the bulk of the rushing load with Derrick Guice and Adrian Peterson elsewhere, and McKissic does not infringe on that. Put simply, McKissic is a complementary piece in Washington’s offense.
The Bengals allow 17.1 PPR points per game to running backs. That’s not too bad, nor is it very impressive. McKissic can be a low-end RB2 this week.
4. Salvon Ahmed (MIA)
Game: Miami Dolphins at Denver Broncos (Sunday, 11/22, 4:05 pm EST)
No one had heard of Ahmed when the month of November began. Now, fantasy owners have taken notice. Ahmed tallied 16 fantasy points in Week 10, which made him the 14th-best running back of the weekend.
This could be a flash-in-the-pan deal for him with Myles Gaskin returning in a couple of weeks. But who cares? You need your points and you need them now. Ahmed is a decent option at RB2 or FLEX. Denver surrenders 17 PPR points per game to halfback, a mixed bag in the NFL rankings for this metric.
