Chris Jones was far from happy at L’Jarius Sneed

In the AFC West, two team are fighting for first place. Right now, the Kansas City Chiefs are just hoping to avoid the season sweep on the Las Vegas Raiders.

Late in the third quarter, Derek Carr would connect with tight end Darren Waller for a three-yard touchdown to give the Raiders a 24-21 lead. Rookie cornerback L’Jarius Sneed was designed to cover the massive tight end, but he was no where to be found on the play.

As kickoff began for the Raiders, defensive tackle Chris Jones was seen getting heated at the rookie for missing the play and costing the team the lead. A fellow Chief was forced to keep Sneed back before things got out of control.

Can this defense figure it out

Sneed started the season strong, but a broken collarbone put him on the injured reserve back in Week 3. In two games active, the Louisiana Tech product finished with 11 total tackles in two interceptions. Overall, he’s been a solid find for Brett Veach’s draft class.

Carr has been on point tonight for Las Vegas in a must-win game. In a breakout season, the Raiders quarterback continues to play well, throwing for 242 yards and a pair of scores. However, thanks to Le’Veon Bell latest run, Kansas City leads 28-24 in the closing minutes.

The defense will get a second chance to close this out. If Sneed allows another touchdown, who knows what Jones will do to him this time?
