NFC North. Chicago Bears. 57. Pick Analysis. . 4.. player. Scouting Report

As the heat turns up on head coach Matt Nagy seemingly with every passing week, the Bears should easily move on after the season unless they somehow win the NFC North and make a deep playoff run. There are some intriguing potential options out there (Jim Harbaugh, Eric Bieniemy, Brian Daboll, etc.), and it’s very possible a new GM will be making the hiring decision as Ryan Pace follows Nagy out the door.

It looks like the Bears are stuck with Nick Foles next year, unless he’s a post-June 1 cut. They will be in the market to draft a quarterback in April though, ideally with a higher first-round pick than they seem headed for right now. A new GM, assuming Pace is gone, would obviously be in charge of that big decision too.

The Bears are moving toward a full reset of their football operation. That would hopefully yield a GM with vision and a clear plan, a head coach who has actual offensive acumen to back up perception, and a quarterback with immediate talent and moldable upside. Visions of Day and his current Ohio State signal caller Justin Fields, a presumptive top-5 pick in the 2021 draft, may be starting to dance in Bears’ fans heads.
