54. . 3-6-1. Previous: . Philadelphia Eagles. 28. team

The Eagles made their way to Cleveland for the first time since 2012 looking to remain atop the woeful NFC East. And it was another rough outing for turnover-prone Carson Wentz, who threw for 235 yards and two scores (the second with 30 seconds to play) but was sacked five times and had one of his two interceptions returned for a score.

Philadelphia’s disappointing defense once again struggled to stop the run, allowing 137 yards rushing.

Alex Smith and company mounted quite the comeback last week in Detroit only to fall short at the gun. Now Washington hosted the improving Cincinnati Bengals in a battle of two-win teams.

Smith would throw for only 166 yards and one score (one interception) because this game belong to the team’s ground attack. Antonio Gibson ran 16 times for 94 yards and one touchdown as Ron Rivera’s club rolled up 164 yards rushing and won their third game.

. 3-7. Previous: . Los Angeles Chargers. 26. team. 13

Anthony Lynn’s snake-bitten club looked to put an end to a three-game losing streak when the Bolts hosted the winless Jets. And after spotting New York a 6-0 lead, the Chargers scored the next 24 points and held on for the team’s third victory of the season.

Rookie Justin Herbert had another big outing, hitting on 37-of-49 throws for 366 yards and two scores. Reliable Keenan Allen was targeted 19 times and caught 16 passes for 145 yards and one TD.

45. . 4-6. Previous: . Denver Broncos. 25. team

The Broncos welcomed the Miami Dolphins and looked to stop that club’s five-game winning streak. Second-year quarterback Drew Lock was a little banged up last week but made the start on Sunday. But the talented signal-caller hung tough and the team shook off a pair of turnovers.

The Denver ground attack dominated Miami’s defense as Melvin Gordon (84, two TDs) and Phillip Lindsay (82) combined for 166 of the team’s 189 rushing yards.
