LeBron James and Bronny putting in work together has us daydreaming

It’s only a matter of time until we see LeBron James share an NBA court with his son Bronny.

LeBron James is coming off a superb season with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he managed to secure the fourth NBA championship of his career by defeating his former team, the Miami Heat, in six games in the Finals. Most recently, LeBron watched as Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka added the likes of Montrezl Harrell, Dennis Schroder, Wesley Matthews and Marc Gasol this offseason to make the team the undisputed favorites to win the NBA title in 2021.

With the start of the 2020-21 season less than a month away, it should come as no surprise that LeBron is spending his days in the gym. However, he had a partner alongside him on Wednesday, and no, it wasn’t a teammate or superstar player. Rather, it was his 16-year-old son, Bronny.

Photos emerged of the two working out, and NBA fans are already getting visions of the two eventually taking the court together in a professional capacity in the very near future.

Is a LeBron-Bronny duo looming soon in the NBA?

Come on, you know you want to see the father-son duo don the same uniform! Who wouldn’t want to see it? It’d be the equivalent of watching Ken Griffey Sr. and Jr. playing on the Seattle Mariners in the early 1990s. In fact, James did mention in the past that he would like to team up with his son in the future.

“You want to ask me what is the greatest achievement of my life,” James said in a 2018 interview with UNINTERRUPTED. “If I’m on the same court as my son in the NBA. That would be No. 1 in my lifetime as an NBA player. I’ve thought about it because my son is about to be 14, and he might be able to get in there a little earlier.”

We’ve still got a few years to go for this to happen, as Bronny is in his sophomore year of high school. To be specific, the eldest James child can officially declare for the NBA Draft in 2023, when he graduates from high school. However, there are many questions that need to be asked.

How many more championships will LeBron win before his son declares for the NBA Draft? Will LeBron sign with whichever team drafts Bronny, even if it’s the New York Knicks? (No shade intended, Knicks fans.) Or, hear us out here, what if LeBron remains in Los Angeles and convinces the Lakers to pull off a massive trade to move up in the draft to select his son? There are so many possibilities!

Regardless, it’s safe to say that a ton of hoops fans would love to see the James father-son duo team up.
