5. Salvon Ahmed (MIA)

Game: Miami Dolphins at New York Jets (Sunday, 11/29, 1:00 pm EST)

A disclaimer: This one is tricky. Ahmed is questionable for Sunday’s matchup. He may or may not play. And, if he does, out-of-nowhere standout Myles Gaskin is slated to return from injury. Regardless, Ahmed should get some attention, if healthy, even if Gaskin is fully healthy. Miami’s offense is actually fairly decent in 2020 no matter the quarterback. Go with Ahmed as a low-end RB2.

6. Frank Gore (NYJ)

Game: Miami Dolphins at New York Jets (Sunday, 11/29, 1:00 pm EST)

Gore is the Jets’ go-to guy for the bulk of the rushing carries. He isn’t that explosive anymore, but he is a grinder. The 37-year-old (!!) was the benefactor of 17 touches in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers. New York still trusts him with the workload. Much like Ahmed, consider Gore a low-end RB2 or FLEX for desperate situations or deeper leagues.

7. Latavius Murray (NO)

Game: New Orleans Saints at Denver Broncos (Sunday, 11/29, 4:05 pm EST)

Periodically, Murray sneaks up behind Alvin Kamara and steals a few touchdowns during the season. On a hunch, we pick Week 12 to serve as one of those occasions. Denver allows 16 PPR points per game to opposing running backs, an average statistic for a 2020 NFL defense. Yes, Kamara will be the bellcow for the Taysom Hill-led offense, but let’s try Murray on for size in goal-line situations.
