In Week 13, the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions are ready to meet in what should be an entertaining NFC North battle. 

Things haven’t quite gone according to plan for both the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears this season, as they two have posted 5-6 and 4-7 records, respectively. Come Sunday, the two NFC North squads will be in desperate search of a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

In what’s expected to be a high-scoring affair, which squad will be able to make the necessary plays to come out on top? Keep in mind, this will also be Detroit’s first game since firing head coach Matt Patricia. 

What to watch for in Bears vs. Lions in Week 13

For the Bears, Mitchell Trubisky is all set to start under center once again this weekend against Detroit. In the Week 12 loss to the Packers, Trubisky struggled, throwing two interceptions. He did finish the day with 242 passing yards and three touchdowns, giving some hope to Chicago fans.

Detroit’s defense has been nothing special this season, which should open the door for Trubisky to potentially have a strong outing. If he struggles, which has been the case often, things could get out of hand quickly.

That will definitely be the case if Matthew Stafford and the Lions can wake up on offense. The team looked horrendous in the Thanksgiving Day loss to the Texans. Throughout the showdown, there was no offensive rhythm. Come Sunday against the Bears, we’ll see if Stafford can get the team back on track.
