Election Week legend Steve Kornacki breaks down NFL Playoff picture

MSNBC’s Steve Kornacki arrived on the pregame show for Sunday Night Football to break down the NFL playoff picture with the big screen.

From Nov. 3 until Nov. 7, Americans were glued to their television, phone and tablet screens waiting for an announcement of the winner of the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. One figure that carried us throughout the stressful journey was MSNBC’s Steve Kornacki, who worked around the clock with the big board to provide us with election updates until Biden was declared the President-Elect.

He even broke down that even though the Baltimore Ravens are just outside the playoff race, they have the easiest remaining schedule.

The national political correspondent was there for us all during the nerve-racking election, wearing his trademark white dress shirt, tie and khaki pants. In more recent elections, the winner is projected on Election Night. But the 2020 edition was different, as millions of Americans voted by mail due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Add that to some pivotal battleground states not tabulating votes until Election Night, and the wait was lengthy. Yet, Kornacki went without sleep to keep us all up to date until the election was called for Biden.
