The Pittsburgh Steelers should be wary for Myles Garrett’s warning moving into the final month of action.

It always felt like a matter of when instead of if. Finally, the Pittsburgh Steelers had the answer for when they would fall Monday Night in a 23-17 defeat to the Washington Football Team.

The defense struggled late to keep Alex Smith and the offense from surging into the lead. The offense stalled once more for Ben Roethlisberger. In the end, a late interception sealed the fate of the undefeated season, turning the magical season back into a pumpkin.

Things might only be getting worse from here for the Steelers in the AFC North, especially if Myles Garrett has something to say about it.

Following the loss, Garrett to Twitter to talk about the division seemingly being up for grabs. Knowing Garrett, this could be the game the Browns need to not only enter the conversation for the AFC North title but perhaps the conference’s elite.

Garrett’s Browns are a different team than early this season

No one will deny that Sunday’s game in the Music City was a sweet tune for the Browns’ postseason picture. Behind a four-touchdown first half from Baker Mayfield, Cleveland improved to 9-3 with the 41-35 victory.

Garrett continues to be the wrecking force in the Cleveland front seven, finishing Sunday with two tackles and a sack. For the season, Garrett now is second in the league in quarterback takedowns with 10.5. This marks the third-straight season where the former No.1 overall pick will finish with double-digit sacks, already proving his ability to live up to the $100 million extension given to him this offseason.

There will be bad blood in Week 17 when the Browns play host to Pittsburgh. The last time these two met, it was a 38-7 victory for Roethlisberger and Co. behind a four-touchdown afternoon. Mayfield also threw one of the worst interceptions of the season to Minkah Fitzpatrick, who promptly returned it 33 yards for six the other way.

Entering Monday, Pittsburgh led the AFC race. Now, they’ll be lucky to hold onto the division. Cleveland is playing its best football and Garrett’s warning shouldn’t be taken lightly by Mike Tomlin or anyone in the Steel City.
