DraftKings EuroLeague basketball picks December 8
Our first DraftKings EuroLeague tournament of the week features three games that were rescheduled from COVIDed games earlier in the season. We begin at 12:30pm Eastern with Efes hosting Villeurbanne in Istanbul.
A half hour later we head all the way west to Barcelona who takes on a struggling Olympiacos team. We finish it off at 3pm Eastern with St. Petersburg heading to Valencia. This is actually a loaded slate if we look at it closely. First we have to see how the injuries affect things.
Out: Louis Labeyrie (ankle), Vanja Markinovic (shoulder), Victor Claver (foot), Joan Sastre (knee) , Matt Strazel (undisclosed), Matt Marsh (undisclosed).
Questionable: Tibor Pleiss (undisclosed).
Efes still hasn’t hinted at what is ailing Pleiss. Considering that he’s missed two rounds already, I doubt he plays in the makeup.
It was a good week in the DraftKings EuroLeague tournaments last week. I had a half dozen top 50 finishes. I will definitely take that in the large field GPP’s! Let’s build on that!
Often in the EuroLeague season we see about ten players playing half the game. The upside on everyone is capped except for the few elites out there.
For DraftKings EuroLeague, we can’t expect 5x value like in the NBA. Most winning lineups are around 180-200 DraftKings points, which is around 3.5 – 4x value. Keep that in mind when mining for value picks.
