College football DFS running back picks December 10:

Top Tier:

Pitt isn’t even allowing 100 yards per game on the ground this year, so I have no interest in Jahmyr Gibbs even if he does play. Same for Jordan Mason. This is a horrible matchup. This will be on Sims and his ability to throw the ball. None of them are going to get much on the ground here.

Middle Tier:

Florida Atlantic has been similarly stingy. They have only allowed 128.7 rushing yards per game and just three rushing touchdowns in seven contests. That makes Frank Gore Jr. a huge risk as well. Gore is a solid receiver out of the backfield. That’s the one thing that could save his day.

This is a much better situation for James Charles this week. Malcolm Davidson is likely out again, which puts Charles as the lead back against a defense that is allowing 182.8 rushing yards per game and has allowed 15 touchdowns in nine games.

Bargain Shoppers:

Pitt’s ground game has been lacking all season long. That likely wont change against the Bees. Vincent Davis has scored a touchdown in three straight games though. A.J. Davis has seen decent work when Pitt does decide to try and run. Both are interesting punts, but Vincent is easily the Davis you want.

If you’re desperate, Kelvin Dean is slated to be the backup to Charles and he’s minimum price. FAU has used two backs for much of the season, so Dean is going to net around a dozen touches. He should be able to produce enough out of that to pay off the minimum price.
