Roman Reigns makes a surprising return at SummerSlam

The landscape around WWE took a pretty drastic turn throughout 2020. With the pandemic causing so much of a shift, we saw a lot of different things. One of the biggest moves though was the return of Roman Reigns.

It had been nearly five months since we had seen Reigns, but he resurfaced in August at SummerSlam. And he came back with a vengeance, obliterating The Fiend and Braun Strowman after their main event. He stood tall after causing a chaotic scene and held the Universal Championship high.

Nobody expected Reigns to show up and crash the party, but he let it be known what his intentions were. And he apparently was willing to go through everyone that got in his way.

It would be a sign of things to come, as he would go on to win the title and align himself with Paul Heyman. Since his return, we’ve seen an entirely different side of the Big Dog. He’s more aggressive, dominant, and is refusing to let anything or anyone stand in his way.

This is definitely a side of Reigns we’ve never seen. And it’s a welcome sight, as he’d been the superhuman good guy pretty much since his WWE debut. Many had wondered how much different a complete attitude overhaul would be, and now they’re finding out in grand fashion. With Heyman in his corner, and now Jey Uso at his side, there may not be anyone that can stop him.
