DraftKings EuroLeague Guards:

Mike James went nuts on Friday, but don’t expect a repeat this week against Efes. I’d rather play Shane Larkin on the other side. James has as high a ceiling as anyone, but Larkin’s floor might be a touch higher.

You might be able to pair Larkin with Jordan Loyd if you work at it a little. Both have nice matchups, and aside from the Barcelona game, Loyd has been almost as good and consistent as Larkin.

The floor for Pierria Henry is terrifying, but the volume is always there and he’s a strong defender. Henry leads the league in steals and is third in assists. His historically bad game against St. Petersburg was almost a month ago now. Henry appears safe to trust again since then.

If Simon is out again, Vasilije Micic comes in as a bit of a value. When both are on the court, I don’t really trust either one for the price. However, Micic has had high usage with Simon sidelined. He’ll score right with those five figure guys if Simon remains sidelined.

The same is true for Malcolm Delaney if Sergio is still out. Delaney has 66.25 DraftKings points in the two games with Sergio out. If Sergio and Simon are out, I’ll run Delaney and Micic as my guards and not think twice about it.

Peyton Siva is one of the best all around players in the EuroLeague. If he was a better shooter, he would put up numbers that rival Shved or James. When Siva’s shots are falling, he can perform way above the price range. However, he does everything well so he’s a safe option whether the shots fall or not.

As expected last week, even the great Sergio Llull had trouble with the St. Petersburg guards. He will find the going a little easier against Olympiacos. Llull is a nice way to save some money, but his ceiling isn’t nearly as high as it used to be.

This could be a big spot for Rodrigue Beaubois if he is back to his normal compliment of minutes. CSKA is terrible against opposing guards. Beaubois was starting to heat up before a fractured orbital bone took a few games from him. This is a big risk, especially if Simon plays, but this may be the place to take it.

I don’t like this matchup for the Athens guards, but Shelvin Mack is still too cheap to be ignored. His minutes are back up to where they were before Thanksgiving and the production is back up as well. Mack is one of my favorite values on this slate.

Maodo Lo is a sure 10-15 points at a very low price. Don’t discount the value of that. Guys like Ognjen Dobric and Rokas Jokubaitis offer more upside, but they carry worse matchups and a much lower floor.
