DraftKings EuroLeague Guards:

This is a tough matchup for Alexey Shved, but we’ve been over this before. Only Efes was able to hold Shved under 33 DraftKings points this year. If you want the best you have to pay for the best. However, don’t expect a ceiling game out of Shved here.

Baskonia put the clamps on Scottie Wilbekin in round 13. He made just two of eight shots and didn’t make it to the foul line at all. Expect Villeurbanne to attempt to do the same. Can they be successful? Probably not as successful as Baskonia was. I still think Nick Calathes is the better option because of the matchup with Khimki.

Considering the tough matchup for both Norris Cole and Errick McCollum, I’m inclined to pay a little extra for Kostas Sloukas based on matchup alone. Still, there’s no reason to pay up for Sloukas with Cory Higgins this cheap. The price and the matchup are almost unbeatable today.

If you’re not sold on any of the high-priced guards, you can live in the value tier. Aside from Higgins, both Klemen Prepelic and Sam Van Rossom are nice picks. Van Rossom in the consistent one. Prepelic offers more upside, but his floor is quite a bit lower.

Tyler Dorsey had his best game of the season in Round 13. Was it a fluke? His minutes likely spiked because of how well he was playing. Still, the price is low enough to take a shot at him doing it again in GPP formats. At the very least, his superb round 13 should afford him a few more minutes anyway. With as well as Chris Jones is playing too, this is a less than desirable situation for fantasy purposes. I just know I’m staying far away from Elijah Bryant and punting with either Dorsey or Jones.

The Valencia backcourt situation is similarly muddled. The difference is that they don’t have a star like Tel Aviv does in Wilbekin. The value lines that Van Rossom, Prepelic, Hermannsson, and Guillem Vives put up are largely repeatable on a game by game basis. All of them are in play for value picks, but they offer little upside.

The return of Yovel Zoosman in round 13 went well. He put up 10 DraftKings points in nine minutes. I would expect Zoosman’s minutes to rise little by litter over the next month, but right now, he’s still priced well enough to take the dozen points you’ll get from him and be happy with it.
