Running Back: Cam Akers $6,700

Cam Akers is clearly the man in that Los Angeles Rams backfield. For most of the season, it was a carousel between Akers, Darryl Henderson, and Malcolm Brown. After the last two weeks, it’s clearly Akers’ job. Last week against the Patriots, he had 29 carries. Henderson and Brown combined for three.

Akers has hit double-digit points in three-straight contests. Last week was his best performance despite never scoring a touchdown. He was unstoppable on the ground, going for 5.9 yards per carry against a Patriots team that was still pretty good against the run.

This week, the Rams are taking on the New York Jets. He’s going to get huge runs without trying. After the Jets’ close call with the Raiders, they rolled over against this past week. Chris Carson got 76 yards and a touchdown on just 12 carries. It was a very efficient 40 points for the Seahawks. This is the expectation for the Jets’ opponents for the rest of the season.

Akers should be able to put up a 15-point day in the first half alone. Since the Rams have Jared Goff instead of Russell Wilson, so they will rely on the running game much more. This will give Akers a lot more opportunities to put up points against a team that’s just trying to end the season.

Other Options: Jonathan Taylor $7,400, Miles Sanders $6,800
