2. Rich Hill

Bringing Rich Hill back to Los Angeles on a one-year deal would be a safe option for the Dodgers. He made 69 appearances for the team from 2016-19 and posted a 3.16 ERA. Hill also logged 50 combined postseason innings with the team.

The veteran spent 2020 with the Minnesota Twins and managed to go 2-2 in just eight starts. Only throwing 38.2 innings should have him fresh even at the age of 40.

Hill is not going to show up and blow away opposing hitters. He is more of a reliable option at the end of a rotation. He never had a yearly ERA above 3.66 with the Dodgers and was simply steady. He can give you five or six innings of solid work and turn it over to the bullpen. Having such a great lineup also means Hill allowing a few runs every outing isn’t going to make him a liability.

His experience is tough to match and the only question now is whether he wants to keep playing in 2021. It should be hard for him to turn down a chance to return to his old team and try to win a World Series before he hangs up his cleats for good.
