DraftKings EuroLeague basketball picks December 17
Round 15 of the DraftKings EuroLeague tournaments is an off balanced one. We only have three games today and six coming up on Friday.
That’s not to say that these three aren’t good ones. We get Milan heading to Efes at 12:30pm Eastern to tip things off. Fenerbahce heads to Zalgiris a half hour later. We cap off the day with Athens hosting Berlin. This is going to be fun, but unfortunately, some are going to miss out on the fun. Let’s check out who.
Out: Jan Vesely (calf), Ben Lammers (ankle), Marcus Eriksson (ankle), Patricio Garino (knee), Steve Vasturia (knee), Alex Perez (calf).
Questionable: Shelvin Mack (undisclosed), Simone Fontecchio (ankle), Zach Auguste (undisclosed).
If Mack is out again, that takes away one of my favorite value plays over the last month. The rest of the questionables aren’t really players we would have in our lineups on a regular basis anyway.
Yesterday I whiffed on my value picks and finished out of the money for the first time since Round 11. It was a nice run while it lasted. Hopefully today starts a new one!
Often in the EuroLeague season we see about ten players playing half the game. The upside on everyone is capped except for the few elites out there.
For DraftKings EuroLeague, we can’t expect 5x value like in the NBA. Most winning lineups are around 180-200 DraftKings points, which is around 3.5 – 4x value. Keep that in mind when mining for value picks.
