Charles Barkley is running out of things to criticize LeBron James about
By Mike Luciano
Charles Barkley is still making LeBron James hairline jokes in 2020.
Those who are of an archeological bend might remember the wasteland that was NBA Twitter in the early 2010s, where jokes about Kobe Bryant refusing to pass, JaVale McGee being dumb, and LeBron James’ receding hairline reigned supreme. Perhaps affected by these jokes, James started to opt for a shaved look during his return to the Cleveland Cavaliers and journey to the Los Angeles Lakers. Proving that old habits die hard, Charles Barkley is still poking fun at James, who has started to let his hair grow once again.
Barkley acknowledged James’ greatness once again, but then followed that up with a complete non-sequitur about his confusion over James‘ suddenly regrown hair.

Charles Barkley is still chiding LeBron for everything except what he does on the basketball court
“Inside the NBA” has the perfect mix of off-kilter humor and incisive basketball analysis, and Barkley being a notorious troll who says what he thinks, even if it bothers people, is without question hilarious. However, is this shtick of going after LeBron’s hairline really worth it?
After getting their 2019-20 championship rings, LeBron and the Lakers didn’t have their best game in a season-opening loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, likely due to their extremely short offseason that barely lasted two months. Go after him for that, not his hairline!
“Inside” is arguably the best basketball-related show on TV, but there are some running jokes that have overstayed their welcome, most notably Shaq ripping big men who he claims to be inferior to him and the constant mockery of Barkley’s inability to win a championship as a player. As funny as that comment might be, it’s just one more example that shows how most LeBron criticism is related to non-basketball things.
