The fantasy season is over, here we look at some season-long stars

The regular season is over, meaning that – unless you play DFS in the postseason – the time has come to forget about fantasy football for at least a few months.

As the dust settles and the focus is centered firmly on the teams still fighting for a place in Super Bowl LV in Tampa, there is time to reflect on some of the standout performers of the regular season, who delivered in significant fashion for the fantasy managers who invested draft picks in their services.

The 2020 season was a year in which several players outperformed their expectations. The top-performing quarterback was a previously much-maligned AFC East passer whose third-year leap had fantasy owners celebrating on a weekly basis and previous critics scrambling for apology forms.

It was more a case of the usual suspects producing at the running back position, but the manner in which one AFC South star backed up his efforts from 2019 made him one of the most impressive individual performers of the campaign.

Playing on a juggernaut offense is naturally a recipe for fantasy success and that was the case for the top targets for the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy football’s top receiver profited from a seemingly telepathic connection with the favorite for the league MVP award. Meanwhile, one of the key figures on a Chiefs that again proved near unstoppable solidified his status as the top tight end in fantasy football.

Here we examine some of the best season-long performances in fantasy football in 2020 and their long-term impact.
