3 Denver Broncos who likely won’t be brought back in 2021
The Denver Broncos could be going through a rebuild.
Whether you care to admit it or not, the Denver Broncos are far from contention. Not only do they play in the AFC West with Los Angeles and Kansas City, but the roster also has plenty of holes.
Is Drew Lock the quarterback of the future? Perhaps. Depending on who will take over for John Elway likely is set to make that call for the 2021 season. If he is, things could turn around with another season of Courtland Sutton, Noah Fant, Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler.
The offense will need to be exceptional since the defense could take a hit in free agency.
At the end of the day, there’s going to be a change in the air with several big names likely playing elsewhere in 2020.

Ja’Wuan James was expected to bolster the offensive line when he signed a four-year deal back in 2019. So far, his play was inadequate in his first season and he was too inconsistent in pass protection. In 2020, he opted out before the season began.
James has two years left on the deal, but he hasn’t proven he’s earned the right to have another shot. The Broncos would only lose $6 million in cap space and could use the remaining money for players who are essential to the team’s success.
Right tackle would be a position of need for the Broncos even if James were to return. Bolstering the offensive line always helps a quarterback’s progression. James was good, but never great in Miami. The team shouldn’t be afraid to walk away this time around.
