Scouting Report. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. . Pick Analysis. LB. Notre Dame. player. 46

Darius Leonard was on Friday named a First-Team All-Pro alongside Fred Warner and Bobby Wagner, but that does not mask the fact there are issues at the linebacker position for the Colts, particularly when it comes to pass coverage.

Leonard surrendered a passer rating of 109.2 and three touchdowns during the regular season while Anthony Walker surrendered a passer rating of 101 and three touchdowns in coverage.

The Colts linebackers unquestionably have substantial merits, but they have benefited from playing behind a very talented defensive front featuring another All-Pro DeForest Buckner, who could hardly have enjoyed a better first season in Indianapolis.

An upgrade in terms of their pass coverage at linebacker would be a significant boon for one of the better defenses in the NFL.

Owusu-Koramoah won the Butkus Award for the best linebacker in college football and his success during his time with the Fighting Irish has been built on his skills in coverage.

Though there are concerns about his size at 6-foot-2 and 216 pounds, Owusu-Koramoah has showcased the versatility to operate as an additional safety and cover pass-catchers from the slot.
