EDGE. Matt Judon. 1. 26. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Baltimore Ravens. player

After a career year in 2019, Baltimore decided to bring Judon back on the franchise tag, which kept him from cashing in after recording 9.5 sacks in 2019. While his production slipped just a tad over last season, the former Grand Valley State product remains one of the best two-way defensive ends in the league, and Wink Martindale’s defense wouldn’t be nearly as dominant without him.

Unfortunately for Baltimore, Judon may finally hit free agency as he looks to capitalize, and Tennessee seems like a perfect landing spot.

Harold Landry and Jadeveon Clowney seemed like a perfect edge-rushing duo, but Clowney failed to record a sack and missed time with injuries, all the while Landry stayed in the “very good” tier and failed to take the leap to stardom the Titans expected.

Of the many problems with their defense, the lack of a pass rush is the most noticeable. Adding Judon would give them a true shot in the arm.

Vrabel might not look like the defensive wizard that he did when he was a coordinator in Houston, but one can hardly blame him for not making a three-course meal with the low-quality ingredients he has had to put up with over the last few years.

With Landry on one side and a powerful run-stuffer that can also use his speed to get to the quarterback in Judon, the Titans will finally be cooking with gas on that side of the ball.
