Scouting Report. Azeez Ojulari. 26. Pick Analysis. EDGE. Georgia. . player

The Ravens invested heavily in their defensive front the last offseason, acquiring Calais Campbell and Derek Wolfe while spending two draft picks on defensive linemen and franchising Matthew Judon.

Baltimore built on their offseason moves by striking a deal with the Minnesota Vikings for former Jacksonville Jaguars edge rusher Yannick Ngakoue.

But both Judon and Ngakoue are free agents this offseason and, with the anticipated shrinking salary cap, it appears unlikely the Ravens will be able to sign both.

The Ravens would, therefore, be well served by looking for a rookie edge rusher with the potential to replace their production in year one. Ojulari is heading to the NFL as perhaps the most pro-ready edge rusher in the class.

An underclassman who opted to declare after his sophomore season, Ojulari came to that decision having produced a campaign that should convince many he can make an immediate impact in the pros.

Ojulari finished the year with 12.5 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks, regularly defeating blockers with intelligent hand usage and displaying an ability to bend and flatten to football.

Having already demonstrated he can win with tools other than his athletic traits, Ojulari looks to have a solid base from which to develop into a fearsome pass rusher. Baltimore is an ideal environment in which to do that.
