Ohio State. . player. 26. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. Chris Olave

Baltimore’s offense is one that runs primarily through its backfield and its tight ends. The Ravens play to their strengths, with their lack of depth at the receiver position continuing to stand out as a glaring weakness.

Marquise Brown did make some progress in 2020 but still didn’t hit the heights expected of a first-round receiver. Miles Boykin‘s impact has been inconsistent and, while Devin Duvernay showed some flashes as a rookie, the Ravens have been overly reliant on veteran Willie Snead.

The free agent class could present the Ravens with some avenues through which to improve their receiving corps. Yet if they are unwilling to spend to do so, then they can look to another deep crop of draft prospects at the position, of which Olave is one of the best.

Justin Fields‘ number one weapon at Ohio State, Olave is a skilled separator who brings an intriguing blend of size and refined route-running, that combination enabling him to blossom into a receiver who is a significant threat on downfield routes and in tighter windows in the red zone.

Olave would be an excellent complement to Brown and, in the latter half of the first round, stands out as a great fit for a team needing to add diversity to the passing attack.
