Jamal Adams trolls Rams for losing to Packers in Divisional Round
By John Buhler
Jamal Adams loved to see the Los Angeles Rams to the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs.
Even though Jamal Adams’ Seattle Seahawks were eliminated the week prior from the NFL playoffs by the division rival Los Angeles Rams, the outspoken safety celebrated once his rival team bit the dust vs. the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
Adams clearly does not care how bad the optics look here because there is no love lost between the Rams and the Seahawks in the NFC West. Despite Adams joining the Seahawks by way of a forced trade from the New York Jets this summer, he knows all too well how much animosity exists between Los Angeles and Seattle on the NFL gridiron. Oh, Twitter is having a field day!
Watching a team that beat you lose is almost as good as winning
We should not be too critical of Adams for this ill-advised tweet. Keep in mind how hopelessly dysfunctional of a situation he left with Gang Green. Was he a major contribution to the Jets’ overall dysfunction? Without question. However, he was able to help Seattle win a division crown this fall, while the Jets went 2-14, fired head coach Adam Gase and will be picking second in the draft.
What this tweet tells us is the Rams and Seahawks have a more formidable rivalry than we expected out on the West Coast. The Rams’ oldest active rival is the San Francisco 49ers. Seattle has a rivalry with San Francisco as well that heats up when the 49ers are good. They also play a ton of weird games against the Arizona Cardinals. But the Rams vs. Seahawks. Yeah, that is the one.
Adams may get creamed on Twitter for this, but do your really think he cares? He is in Cabo!
