Jameis Winston gets revenge on Bucs with insane trick play touchdown (Video)

Jameis Winston got revenge on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Divisional Round.
The New Orleans Saints found themselves in a hole early in their Divisional Round matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Saints quarterback Drew Brees threw a brutal interception to Buccaneers cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting which as followed up with a touchdown pass from Tom Brady to Mike Evans to give Tampa Bay an 10-6 lead. It didn’t take long for the Saints to answer, and it was quite the answer.
On a first-and-10 play, running back Alvin Kamara lined up in wildcat formation and pitched it to quarterback Jameis Winston, who unleashed a beautiful 56-yard touchdown pass to a wide open Tre’Quan Smith to give New Orleans a 13-10 lead. What a way for Winston to get his revenge on the team that let him walk last offseason.
Saints were hyped for Winston
Not only was Winston hyped about scoring against his former team, but so were his Saints teammates and coaches. They were hyped!
Last season, Winston had a campaign for the ages. While Winston did lead the league with a staggering 5,109 passing yards, it was offset by his 33 touchdowns and 30 interceptions. Instead of re-signing him, the Buccaneers allowed him to walk into free agency and replaced him with Brady, the six-time Super Bowl champion. So, Winston decided to sign a one-year deal with the Saints to refine his game and learn from Brees and head coach Sean Payton.
Winston only appeared in four regular-season games, with the longest time he spent on the field was back in Week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers after Brees suffered multiple rib fractures and a punctured lung. Many thought Winston would take over the reigns with Brees out for multiple weeks, but the job was handed to Taysom Hill.
While this might be the final year Winston suits up in a Saints uniform, he delivered when it mattered most — the playoffs. Granted, it took Hill being sidelined with an injury for Winston to play, but still, what a moment!
