19. Dwayne Jarrett – USC Trojans

For the first time, a wide receiver comes up from the early 2000s. Dwayne Jarrett took over the Pac-12 from 2004-2006. He had huge shoes to fill, as his freshman season coincided with the loss of standout Mike Williams. He didn’t take long to make USC fans forget. In his freshman season, he had 849 yards and a ridiculous 13 touchdowns. He was a huge part of their undefeated season and National Championship.

He was great as a freshman on the biggest stage. During the BCS National Championship Game, he had five catches for 115 yards and a touchdown. USC destroyed Oklahoma by a final score of 55-19. His 54-yard touchdown in the second quarter really put things out of reach, giving the Trojans a two-touchdown lead that they’d never relinquish.

His sophomore season, Matt Leinart made him his top target. Jarrett had 91 receptions for 1,274 yards. Everything was great, as he helped the Trojans once again put up another undefeated regular season. He had a 61-yard catch that set up the game-winning “Bush Push” against Notre Dame. In the epic Rose Bowl Game against Vince Young’s Texas team, Jarrett had 10 catches for 121 yards and a touchdown. He would have had the championship-winning catch if it wasn’t for Young’s heroics.

Jarrett was a total bust in the NFL, but his college career was one of epic proportions. He finished his career with the most receptions in USC history (since broken) and the most touchdowns (which hasn’t come close to being broken). His 41 touchdowns showed the type of playmaker he was, and one that USC fans won’t soon forget.
