18. CeeDee Lamb – Oklahoma Sooners

Not many receivers on this list can say they caught passes from three Heisman Trophy finalists (and two winners), but CeeDee Lamb is not like any other receiver. Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray and Jalen Hurts were all very good under center, but without Lamb making things easier, there’s no telling how high they’d fly.

Lamb probably doesn’t get the recognition he deserves because of Oklahoma’s quarterback play, but Lamb was a catalyst in making the Sooners’ offense tick. His stats got better each season. He finished his career with 3,292 yards and 32 touchdowns. He finally got first-team All-American honors in his junior year when playing alongside Hurts. He put up 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also added another touchdown rushing.

He lost the Biletnikoff Award to Ja’Marr Chase, who also lifted his quarterback for one season. However, Lamb had been doing it for years before Chase made a name for himself. Speaking of LSU, in the College Football Playoff semifinal, Lamb was the only player on Oklahoma who put up big numbers. He had 119 yards on four receptions. No other skill player had more than 35 yards that game.

Lamb had great quarterbacks to play with and a great coaching staff at Oklahoma, but he also did a lot to lift the talent around him. His talent is unmatched and the Sooners were lucky to have a target with his combination of skill and grit.
