The Houston Texans fanbase might be enamored with Deshaun Watson but the quarterback does not want a march in his name.

For those who are still confused with everything that’s happened with the Houston Texans, let’s review.

Franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson has reportedly been unhappy with the team’s plans moving forward. More than that, those in the building now believe that this could be the end of Watson’s time with the organization.

With fans of the Texans’ franchise, that has not sat well. For the first time in the team’s 18-year existence, they have their star quarterback to lead the way. Now, he could be leaving before his rookie contract is even up.

Fans around the Houston area have railed together to put on a rally in favor of their quarterback. The fanbase is making their voice heard to Texans’ owner Cal McNair, who could be willing to part ways with Watson this upcoming offseason in favor of executive Jack Easterby.

Watson took to Twitter, telling fans to remain home due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Watson’s status with the franchise remains uncertain

Watson’s frustration with the Texans, among other issues, leads back to the process used to hire general manager Nick Caserio. After being promised his voice would be heard in the hiring process, the Texans made no effort to bring in a GM of his choosing.

Former Texans star receiver Andre Johnson weighed in publicly, stating that Watson should “stand his ground” against the team for “wasting players’ careers” on Twitter. Earlier this month, Texans defensive end JJ Watt apologized to Watson for “wasting one of his years” after the team finished 4-12 in 2020.

Watson has yet to ask to be traded. He also has remained quiet at the forefront of this situation, sending cryptic tweets instead of speaking out about the predicament. Could all this be a ploy to bring in a name Watson wants to work with?

The Texans are interviewing Kansas City Chiefs’ offensive coordinator and Watson’s top choice, Eric Bieniemy, on Monday.

Watson is still watching out for his city’s fanbase. Admire him for that in a time where things have become fuzzy on his future at NRG Stadium.
